My Story: From Wilderness Trails to Digital Classrooms
"With over 20,000 hours of experience across 17 years, I transitioned from leading outdoor education programs to mastering the craft of digital English teaching. Since 2012, I've helped over 5,000 students worldwide achieve fluency, combining the dynamism and warmth of my 'Kiwi' culture with deep pedagogical rigor."
In New Zealand, my teaching career took root in outdoor education—leading wilderness expeditions and team leadership workshops. That environment taught me an enduring pedagogical truth: people cannot learn effectively when they feel tense or intimidated. Enduring fluency blossoms in a warm atmosphere of trust, immediate practice, and supportive coaching.
Why Colombia?
Moving to Bogotá, I fell in love with the warmth and entrepreneurial drive of the Colombian people. Yet in conversations with executives and families, I heard the same frustration: years spent at conventional language centers, high grammar scores, but a complete freeze when asked to speak on international video calls.
I launched KiwiTutor not as an impersonal mass-market platform, but as a high-touch private coaching studio, providing dedicated focus to each student's career, goals, and pronunciation journey.
